Se existisse um panteão da integração europeia, o nome do primeiro Chanceler Federal alemão não poderia lá faltar. Konrad Adenauer (1876-1967) foi um dos signatários do Tratado de Roma, cujo 60.º aniversário recentemente celebrámos, e do Tratado do Eliseu, que continua a ser até hoje o alicerce institucional da amizade franco-alemã.
